Clyde!

I took Clyde on the five miler I did with Maya on Sunday morning. I didn't use the Gentle Leader, just a leash attached to his martingale collar. It was the first long walk I've done with Clyde and the first walk with him in the woods.

He was curious about everything, suspicious of some things. He wasn't at all sure that it was possible to cross the streams. He jumped across a couple smaller ones but when confronted with one too wide to jump, he thought that was the end of the trail. Fortunately, Maya was with me. She looks for the best way to cross, but in the end she just waded on in and made her way across and Clyde did the same.

Clyde is doing very well indoors. He's great in the crate at night and I've been giving him more freedom out of the crate when I'm downstairs in the kitchen. He's really doing well and wants to please. He's still rough around the edges, but he's a good dog at heart. And he's really developing into a very good looking Dane.
