Meeting Max

Monday morning.  Horse was gone so things were quiet in the dog yard.  Maya went on one of her unauthorized walkabouts.  When she returned, hot, tired, and ready for a nap indoors, I put her back into the dog yard instead and introduced Max.

I've been observing him the last couple of days and haven't seen any signs of aggression towards other dogs.  He does seem that he just wants to be a part of things and particularly wants a human back in his life.

He was just fine when I brought him into the dog yard with Trooper, Maya, and Maddie.  He ran with them, play bowed, and tolerated Maya's dominance moves.  He and Trooper sniffed and went their separate ways. 

Max likes the ball but no one else around here cares about a ball so that was never an issue.  I think he's going to be just fine.
