Your Daily Dose of Puppy Therapy

Della enjoying some quiet time, on the outside of the puppy pen.
The other dogs in the household are
coming closer now and Della is ok
with it. This is Serena halfway into
the puppy room.
Here's your daily dose of puppies. Everyone is doing well. The pups are growing and Della is happy to be stepping back from feeding them. We are feeding a pitcher full of mush at least four times a day. Della gives them a few minutes of milk two or three times a day. We are going through a ton of newspapers now. Fortunately they are cheap and readily available.

Della on one side of the fence, Chimay on the puppy side looking out.

Toys make good headrests.

A dozen puppies at rest.

"Wake up and play with me!"

Some sleeping, some playing.
Sleep generally wins out.

Sometimes they pile up all together, sometimes in small groups.

The feeding frenzy. There's room for everyone to eat all at once.

Peroni on the left (pink collar) and Carlsberg on the right.
Maya and Chimay. I think these two have a lot in common.
Chimay's adopter will need to be smart and fast to stay
ahead of Chimay as she grows and learns.

The puppy pile after a big meal. Modelo (bottom right with
yellow collar) is completely covered up except for his head.
The merle pup with the blue collar on the very top of the
pile is Paulaner. He's entirely supported by other pups.

Modelo, sleeping with his head hung over the side of the bed
box, starting what will be a lifetime of sleeping in positions
that appear uncomfortable to us.

They outgrew the cardboard box that we'd put them in at
cleaning time. They will soon outgrow this tub too.
Twelve puppies will soon outgrow everything.

I look at the pups at least once a day, and usually more. Puppies make me smile.
They will make excellent companions for 12 happy families someday.
