Photos vs. portraits

I like to think that I sometimes get some good pictures of dogs. I do, although it's mostly by luck based on the number of them that I take. When it comes to pet portraits, however, there's a real difference between mine and those taken by someone who knows what they are doing. 

Oana Moore of Oana Moore Photography produces a calendar every year featuring dogs, horses, and other animals from the world of rescue. I recently took Marvel and Bear to her for a photo session and a few days later she came here and got pictures of Norman and a few of the puppies. The results are stunning.

Clay and I are finally winning the battle against the cold/bronchitis/ear thing we've been fighting. I've been going to bed early and sleeping in two shifts most nights. I laid low on Sunday and finally felt well enough today to get out for a walk. Bailey and I did three miles at Pleasant Grove and got back home just as it was getting dark.
