Norman continues to develop and evolve as a house dog and companion. I took him on a solo hike today for four miles. We both needed it and enjoyed it. After the walk he spent the rest of the afternoon and evening indoors. His indoor manners are really quite good, and he's great in a crate even on the very long nights that we are experiencing this time of year.
He is a lot of dog to handle, even with the gentle leader, but he doesn't fight it and we got along very well. It occurred to me that anyone walking Norman would have nothing to worry about in terms of the man vs. bear question. You'd be walking the bear! What could be better than that?
Oh, and Norman likes belly rubs.
