They were quite vocal when any other dogs were out, and especially when Olivia and Kenley came out to the other half of Daneland for the day. I thought I saw some digging at one point so I used some materials at hand and created a sort of barrier up against the fence. It's more psychological than anything else, but I think it will discourage digging and even discourage some interaction along the fence line.
Erika and offspring, and Jamie came over late in the afternoon and everyone got collared, identified, and named. The theme for the names is Halloween candy. The pups vary widely in their level of socialization at this point but that's just something to work on. They are all basically friendly and the two adults are too. When they left I went up to Lowe's to buy a new feeding trough (10' of gutter), and an outdoor, solar powered light to light up Daneland in the evenings. As soon as I finish this post I'll go out and tuck them in for the night. I'll try to get a complete set of face pictures with names matched up tomorrow. Today they all still look a lot alike.
This is the mom, now named Reese's.
I'm not sure which one this is, but he's adorable.
Today's visitors were a bit too much for this guy,
he hunkered down along the fence until they went away.
The pup in the center with the floral collar is Pixie. She's the only female pup.
The green collared boy next to her is Goober.
Dad and mom, Twix and Reese.
They really like the elevated beds, both outdoors and in the shed.
Goober
There's Kenley on the other side of Daneland.
This is Turtle, he has a candy corn collar and is very friendly.
