Tilly is a spayed, female mastiff. She's a big girl. If she's not 100 pounds yet, she is going to be soon. She's around a year old and should fully fill out to an adult size and weight by the time that she's two years old, although I'd say she's about 80-85% there already.
Tilly is house trained, crate trained, and remarkably well-mannered. She sits in front of her food bowl and waits patiently for it to be filled. She sometimes lies down as she eats. Tilly is very good about using her crate and goes in willingly and waits patiently to be let out in the morning. She will sit and wait at the door as well, instead of pushing her way in like a battering ram, which she totally good, given her big blocky and her her considerable mass.
I never want to oversell a dog as being "perfect," but the fact is that Tilly is a sweet, wonderful dog. She reminds me very much of a Rottweiler, and if you know how I love rotties, you'd know that's about the highest compliment I can give to a dog. She loves to sit on your foot and lean up against your leg. She loves petting and touching. She is a big dog and she has a very rambunctious style of play that not all dogs enjoy, but she has learned who she can play with and who needs to be left alone, around here anyway.
I've taken her to adoption events where she was a big hit with the crowd and enjoyed all the attention until she finally got tired and laid down. But even then she would roll over for belly rubs.
I'm not in a hurry to place her. She is a big dog and that's kind of a niche market in dogdom. She has a home here as long as she needs it, until we can find her a really great home of her own. Tilly is available for adoption through Green Dogs Unleashed.
This is the day I picked her up. She really has grown since then.
