This is Clay just prior to outpatient surgery that will hopefully repair tendon, artery and/or nerve, whatever is damaged in the middle finger of his left hand.
I'm drinking coffee in the waiting room.
The pic to the right is the finger in question, before surgery, about three weeks now since it happened. The wound healed up but is still very swollen and he has no feeling in the finger due to a severed nerve. I have some more gruesome photos from a few weeks back but probably no one wants to see them. Hopefully this will succeed in getting his hand back to near normal.

UPDATE:
12:30pm, heading home, he is doing well, therapy appointment Thursday morning. The surgeon repaired a tendon or two and removed a lot of scar tissue that had formed. The nerve was crushed but not severed. Not sure what that means for regaining feeling in that finger but we will see.

Hope Clay has a complete and speedy recovery.
That looks awful. Wishing Clay a speedy recovery. We can compare scars some time.
Good news that it was crushed instead of severed. That means there's a chance the nerve connection can heal. As long as the insulation isn't broken new fibers can grow. Here's hoping that's the case for Clay. Sending positive thoughts your way.
