Penelope and Puppy
They are perhaps the oddest of odd couples. Penelope and the puppy. They are both playful and they have each found the other to be a willing playmate. There's no way he can keep up with her when she runs, but he loves the action and he runs after her. She runs in a big loop and comes charging back towards him or me for another encounter. She is more careful with him than she is with big dogs. Instead of crashing into him, she tends to go over or around him when their paths intersect. He cleans up the mess she makes when she eats, enjoying the slime-moistened bits of food she leaves behind. Both dogs are available for adoption through Green Dogs Unleashed.
This is a blog about my life, which largely revolves around a dog rescue operation. I write mostly, but not exclusively, about dogs. I am gay, with a very understanding partner (now husband!); Democrat; liberal; Kansas native and a current resident of "real" Virginia. My husband and I live on 7 rural acres near Charlottesville, Virginia. We have multiple large dogs of our own, and we have fostered large breed dogs for several different rescue organizations. German Shepherd Dogs, Great Danes, and Rottweilers are among our favorites, but we love most large breed dogs and mutts. ALL VIEWS EXPRESSED HEREIN ARE MY OWN.
