Rescue work never stops. It doesn't take a vacation even if we sometimes do. Tennessee Blue went to his new home while I was gone. I had taken him back to Green Dogs HQ for boarding and training until his adopters returned from Florida. That happened last weekend and they came to pick him up.
This is a picture of him in his new home. He's already loved and adored, and he will be well cared for, for the rest of his life.
To see the difference that good care makes, just look at Tennessee Blue in comparison to my newest foster, Legolas (Lego for short). He is also a blue Great Dane, but he's been sadly and badly neglected. Tenny Blue is a lean, buff, 100+ pounds, while Lego is an emaciated mere 78 pounds. He came out of a local rural shelter and is now with Green Dogs. He got neutered today and will be coming to our place on Thursday. I see a big batch of Satin Balls in his future.

Yep. It never ends. Rescue is like Hotel California. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
Good luck to Lego. I'm sure he'll be fine once he gets to you.
