Cash rode very nicely in back; Maya in the crate just behind my seat. |
Cash is a very easy-going dog. We got out, he examined the front yard and then walked into the house like an invited guest, which of course, he was. We met the human and canine residents. Cash took to the humans immediately and was willing to give all the dogs a sniff as well. There's a senior female dog in the home and they were slated to become sofa sleeping buddies. There's one younger male shepherd who was all sound and fury as shepherds are wont to be. The third dog was welcoming and friendly.
It's a good home with shepherd experience and rescue experience, and a schedule, life, and work situation that is ideal for a senior dog like Cash. He was an easy foster while he was here but he didn't have any problems that required him to stay here. Cash is off on a new life experience and from the reports I've heard so far, everything is going well. If that continues we all expect he will have a new home there.
Checking out the yard. He did his business there and never even lifted a leg inside. |
It's a very dog-friendly home, full of big beds and dog-welcoming furniture. |
Cash checked out various options and then settled down on a nice bed in the center of the room where he could observe everything. |
Maya had not been out in a while so she came along. We hit a brewery or two on the way home. |
Brothers Craft Brewery was very dog-friendly but had no treats so I bought a bag of popcorn and shared it with Maya. |
