Eight week old DANES!

If it's Thursday, it's another puppy birthday. Today they are eight weeks old. Two months worth of puppyhood under their virtual belts. It's also the day we learned the results of the DNA analysis to tell us something about their daddy. He was a Great Dane, his parents and all of their parents were all Great Danes. The same is true on Della's side.

This picture of the test summary isn't very clear, but what's noteworthy is that all the dog shapes are the same and they are all Great Danes. So that mystery is solved. Not that it really matters. They might have been better off with a bit more genetic diversity, but they are Danes without a doubt.

We are only weighing them a couple times a week now,
just to make sure that no one is falling behind. Some are
bigger than others, but they all seem to be growing at
about the same rate.

They are looking like Danes and growing like Danes. A couple of them were over 20 pounds when we weighed, wormed, and photographed them this evening. Clay held the puppies and their beers for the eight week pictures.
