Lovely Lexie

Lexie is about two years old, recently spayed female. She is said to be a husky mix and I suppose that's as good a guess as any, but the emphasis is on the "mix." Lexie looks like she received a well shaken cocktail from the gene pool. That's generally beneficial to a dog in terms of both health and temperament. She's still a bit underweight from nursing her pups, but she will fill out at about 50-60 pounds.

Lexie is sweet and cuddly, very people oriented, outgoing, and friendly. She's house trained and crate trained, but left to her own devices she has some tricks up her sleeve that she will demonstrate. She likes to collect shoes, toys, chew bones, and she will guard them jealously vis-à-vis other dogs. I have found toilet paper streamers that she has pulled out from the bathroom. She will be a counter surfer if given half a chance.

She will also be a sweet, loyal, and loving companion if given any chance at all. Lexie loves to go on walks and she's really pretty good on a leash. She's also content to hang out with you while you work, watch tv, or do whatever. Want to do something active with your dog? Lexie would love and excel at agility. She would also love to be your hiking, backpacking, camping, or fishing companion.

Lexie lives with six or more other dogs in her foster home but she would also be quite content to be an only dog and soak up all your time and attention. She's been good with visiting children, and I'm planning a cat test for later this week.

Lexie raised a litter of six puppies and they all have prospective homes. It's her turn now and I can promise that she will be easier than any of those puppies. Lexie is available for adoption through Green Dogs Unleashed.
