We had two big bundles of round wooden fence posts delivered today. A long awaited fencing project is due to get underway this week, probably on Thursday. We are replacing the entire fence line along the front of the property. Some of it's in bad shape and we need it to keep dogs in, fosters who may get loose, and hopefully it will keep Della from jumping over whenever the mood strikes her. (That has only happened a couple times, mostly when I've been out of town, but that's when I worry the most. And then there's the prey-drive thing that I'm always afraid will send her over the fence and after whatever she has spotted.)
Friday it looks like I'm getting back two former fosters, both shepherds, who belong to a woman who will be moving into an assisted living facility.
Oh, and while the fencing project is underway, I'll have essentially no fenced areas for the dogs, except the dog yard and Daneland. Della will not be happy and when Della's not happy, no one around here is happy. The good news is that I think the fencing project will be wrapped up in a few days, that will surely extend into next week.
I gave Max a bath yesterday and brushed him out more today. This is his annual bath and it's more about hair removal than cleanliness. I'll get some after pics tomorrow in the sun.
Max was good about the bath.
This multi-colored matt is all the wet hair I pulled off of Max
with a comb during his bath.
