Bette's lucky day

Today is Friday the 13th, which was an unlucky day for the Knights Templar in 1307, but it was the luckiest of days for former foster Beastie who is now known as Bette, who was rescued on this day, September 13th, in 2020. The story of her surrender to the HOWS Project showed up in my Facebook memories today. I don't know that it was a Friday that year, but the falls on Friday the 13th this year and is a great memory of a very lucky day for one dog.

I wasn't even here when it happened, I was in Kansas, but Clay took her in and settled her into Daneland with Journey. You can read about that here. We changed Beastie to Bessie and her adopter changed it again to Bette and she's been living the good life ever since.

I did two shorter walks today, morning and evening, and took Bette with Killian on the first one, and then Bette and Elvis on the second.
