Downsizing, liquidating, clearing out, all those terms describe what is pretty much the central purpose of our daily lives these days. We've lived in one place for 25 years as of today and for much of that time we were avid collectors, buyers, auction goers, bargain hunters, and borderline hoarders of many categories of "stuff." All that stuff now has to go. We are beginning to see signs of progress, but at the same time we know there's still a lot to go.
As soon as we got home we immediately refocused efforts on selling, donating, trashing, and otherwise moving stuff out of here. I made a trip to the dump again on Saturday and took a few boxes of stuff to Green Dogs for their yard sale next week. Clay is selling stuff on eBay every day, including much of his extensive wardrobe of business clothes. The only clothing items of mine that had any resale value are some Carhart jackets, but they did very well. (By the way, much to our surprise we found Carhart clothing to be quite a fashion statement in Lille. We even saw a collection displayed in a rather high end department store in town.) I've been listing stuff on Facebook Marketplace and we're currently awaiting someone who is coming for a couple of bookcases.
I still got in some dog time this weekend, however. After Woody's adoption Saturday morning I took Bailey to the GDU Bark Rangers program in the afternoon. She seems to be getting for comfortable around new people and dogs, but the program also featured an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Bailey was not a fan, but we worked on getting closer to it and once the bunny removed the head part of the costume and she could see a small human inside, she was fine with it. There's a stuffed kangaroo in a hallway corner in Berta's building that Bailey freaks out about too. We'll have to work on that.
Sunday we delivered the two large Dane crates from my office and some linoleum flooring to other foster homes for future use. One of those foster homes is the adopter of Elliot, the deaf Great Dane from Allison's litter back in 2021, so we got to see him today. He's very sweet and seemed happy to see us.

Amazing how somebody so little grew into someone so big.
