I picked Woody up from his temporary foster home on Friday. I heard that there was an application on him and they wanted to meet him on Saturday. They came out Saturday morning, spent quite a bit of time with him playing ball in the pasture, and ended up taking him home.
Apparently they've already sent pictures and are really enjoying having him in their home. I'm very glad and hope that continues. I did warn them that he might fuss and cry the first night or two in a new home, but maybe he wont. They had most of the day with him to get acquainted and Woody is a quick-to-bond dog, the super glue of shepherds. I wish him the best, he is a good dog and will only get better with time, love, and work.
I'm also not so secretly relieved to have him adopted ahead of my surgery on Tuesday. I've still got Candace and Ted to deal with, in addition to Bailey, but they are easy fosters. Woody was a bit more demanding.
I didn't take any new pictures of Woody today, so here's some "best of" shots from a folder I've been collecting on my desktop.

Good for Woody. I hope this adoption sticks.
