Zeus - King of the Shepherds

Zeus came here today from another foster home for Promises who was going on vacation. He's a nice boy, well-mannered, although apparently he's not keen on cats and small dogs.

We don't have small dogs and he got along fine meeting Max, Theo, and Trooper this afternoon. He will come in the house tonight to a crate in the office and probably meet the rest of the pack Sunday morning.

He's mostly shepherd but has got a bit of something else mixed in. Some sort of hound, I would guess from the white tip of his tail.
He's got a shorter coat than most shepherds, which is nice.
Here's a pic that shows that nice white tip on his tail.

Zeus was fine in the dog yard with the shepherds today. I was a little concerned because we went away this afternoon and evening, but he was still there when we got home. I even saw him laying next to Max in the afternoon before we left, so he may be happy to have some other male shepherds to hang with.

Meeting Max is usually the most challenging introduction
around here, but Zeus handled himself very well.
