I've included the pics we took of each pup at the 10 week mark. That was the last of the weekly photos we took as they started going to their new homes right after that.
We always thought that this little girl was very much like her mother and that has proven to be the case as she grows. Not the easiest pup in the litter, but oh so lovely.
This pic shows Moogly on the left and Maze on the right end of the sofa probably not long after she came home. |
Here they are in the same positions several months later. |
Like her mother Della, Maze never misses an opportunity to roll in the grass. |
Modelo is now known as Bodhi. He and another of the black males, Guinness/Astro, are the biggest of the lot. We called him Modelo the Adventurer because he was the first to climb to the top of Della in search for more milk, the first to climb out of the whelping pool, and the first to escape the 8'x8' pen we had them in when they were in the guest room.
He has an even larger big brother (Neo) in his new home that he's trying to catch up to in size. Given that they are this close at nine months, I would bet that Bodhi is going to be bigger when all the growing is done.
Neo is a blue Dane, Bodhi is black. The color difference is most apparent when they are in the same picture. |
Duvel is a great beer and a great dog. He lives just down the road from us so we get to see him pretty often. He shares his new home with his big brother, Chester, who was also one of our fosters.
I don't think Duvel's folks ever thought they'd have a dog that big, but he didn't start out that big and their sense of scale has grown over the past nine months. They even bought a new vehicle to accommodate his growing size and still leave room for them and Chester.
Chester and Duvel They took this same pic every month. In the beginning Chester seemed like a much larger dog than he does now. |
The two boys get along very well. |
Duvel in the back of his new car. |
Most of these pups aren't too picky about their sleeping positions. |
Well, I thought I'd do more than three dogs tonight, but like most things it took longer than expected, so I'm going to stop here and just end with this picture of Della.
