Doc sees the vet

Doc saw a vet today. He got neutered, got his ears cleaned out, and got some medication for his ears. It all went well. He's back home this evening sleeping it off in a crate. 

This evening I took the Danes, Max, Nemo, and Hugo to the pasture. I manage to avert a hostile encounter between Nemo and Hugo when they met this time and after that they were fine. I even left Nemo in the dog yard with Hugo and Max after the rest of us came in this evening. They both just need to work on their social skills. 

Cosmo didn't really want to come out to the pasture with us, but after the others were back in the dog yard, and Serena went back inside, Cosmo came out and hung with Della and I on the front porch for a while this evening.

Doc has been on hunger strike since he came here, but since he had surgery today I'm going to

cave and give him some canned food to get him to eat.

but he's been sleeping in his crate ever since we got home.

It's nice to be able to take Nemo out to the pasture now. He hasn't quite figured out what

to do with himself out there, but he runs with the others and he's learning.

He wants to play, but he doesn't quite know how, and Serena is the wrong one

anyway, she just plays ball by herself and otherwise she just plays with Della.

Hugo beats all the other dogs to the disc but if they somehow end up with it,

he doesn't fight, just waits for the chance to get it back.
