I don't have much to say, but I do have some pictures to share.
Elvis on a walk early Friday morning.
Della wasn't happy that I didn't take her Friday morning so we did a walk Friday evening.
We walked down to the village of Palmyra and along the rail trail.
This was a river overlook.
Her ears on an high alert because we saw a spotted fawn coming up the river bank just below us.
We also took in the historic sites in the village.
The old stone jail, now museum.
Della at the old courthouse.
This is probably my favorite house in the village.
The best thing, maybe the only good thing, about summer in the south is crepe myrtles.
The new courthouse, where Clay and I got married.
We could have done it in the historic old courthouse, but it was August after all.
Paisley on the Saturday morning walk.
This is Astro visiting the puppy shed where he grew up.
Candace really seems to enjoy running around the yard with the other dogs now.
Della on her front porch bed.
Astro and Jemma playing with Candace.
Astro is just as sweet as he is large.
Thank goodness for that.
There are five humming bird feeders in the garden and they were all
very busy this morning. There were probably a dozen hummers buzzing around them.
I wish I could capture all the action with pairs of them darting around from the feeders to the bushes to trees, swooping around chasing one another. It's endlessly entertaining and Saturday morning was a great time to sit on the porch and watch them for a while.
Astro and Jemma will be going home Sunday evening, but their spots have already been filled,
but our pack weight will take a hit when Astro leaves.
We picked up two new fosters Saturday evening just to keep things interesting.
Happy (left) and Joy (right), both labs.
