Another snow day

But first we need to talk about last night. It was Ted's first night here and it was Elektra's first night alone without any of her siblings. And there's SweetTart, it was the first night after I went back to feeding her a second meal following a four day course of dewormer. What do all of them have in common? Shit. 

Elektra settled down after just a bit of whining and barking after we went to bed, but before that I heard her moving the exercise pen around like she was trying to escape. We heard it again about 4:00 a.m. and I went downstairs to check on her. She had managed to escape the pen and had knocked over Bailey's feeding station in the kitchen, which is what got us up. I cleaned up not one but two piles of poop and then put her into the crate and shut the door. I found a third pile of poop when I went back down in the morning. I don't know how one puppy produces that much but I think she must save it all for nighttime. 

SweetTart pooped in her crate again as well. She's very tidy about it however and has it all wadded up in the blanket in the corner. At least it was somewhat more solid than it had been prior to the dewormer.

I was expecting Ted to have a rough night but he actually settled down in his crate pretty quickly after we went to bed. He did poop in it overnight, but it was his first night and he wasn't really into the routine around here so I can't hold that against him. 

The dog who usually poops at night is Candace because she's becoming incontinent, but she didn't last night, thank you Candace. Candace doesn't appear in today's pictures because she didn't really run with everyone else, but she did go out on her own a few times throughout the day.

We had snow most of day on Wednesday so everyone was indoors most of the time. When we all went out together everyone was so excited to run and play I'm not sure they took advantage of the outdoor time to poop and pee. No one is getting dinner Wednesday evening. 

There wasn't enough light for very good pictures today but the dogs did have fun running around. I was very happy that Ted stuck together with the group and would come when I called him but I didn't leave him outside unattended. He seems like a nice guy and seemed to really enjoy being part of the pack.
