I've had Max posted on the web for a while, but with a write up that purposefully discourages fist time shepherd owners or other casual adopters. But lately I've had a couple inquiries about him and today he had two different sets of visitors. Both prospects seemed nice enough and both seemed capable of giving him a good home and working with his behavior. He was a better fit for one couple, though, and I hope they will be interested enough to follow through. 
He's much better than he was, but he still doesn't know how to relate to people, he has no concept of petting or affection, and he doesn't know what to do except chase after a ball or stick. 
He has probably reached maximum improvement around here, however. He needs to go to a quieter place, with fewer dogs, and with people to can begin to bond with. Keep those fingers and paws crossed, I really hope this happens for him.
