Buzz

We are calling him Buzz Lightyear. He came out of a local shelter, a stray unclaimed after his hold period was up. Best guess is that he's about 10 months old. Best guess as to his breed mix? Very hard to say on this one. At first glance the head looks like a Saint Bernard. He's got long hair growing in confusing directions on his back, but it's brindle in color. Maybe part boxer? Maybe a part of many things that had the happy accident of creating this unique pup. 

He came Tuesday evening, I guess, just in time for the sleet/rain/ice event that we had on Wednesday. All my pictures suck because of low light and wet dog conditions. But he is a good looking dog and he seems very sweet. He has met all the other dogs around here and has been fine with them all. He immediately started playing with Kizmet and Journey when I put them all out in Daneland Wednesday morning before it was really doing anything. Being crated seems new to him, but he's crated in my office with three other dogs also in crates and he quiets down pretty quickly. 

Buzz will be available for adoption through Green Dogs Unleashed as soon as he's neutered. If the sun ever shines again I'll get some better pictures, although he may still be wet and muddy.

Meeting a new dog, so let's all crowd into a narrow hallway.

You can see that his build is not filled out yet. He's got a longish brindle coat.

Here is Buzz, already partly wet, wanting to go back out and get fully wet and muddy.

He does have a "sit" command, at least when he thinks they might be food involved.
