Vet visits

I took Chase out on a leash when we got up this morning so I could collect a urine sample. It obviously had a lot of blood in it and we found drops of blood on the floor and on the beds where he slept last night. Erika had sent messages to the vets before they were even open and called as soon as they were. We were able to get both dogs seen today, at separate vets.

I loaded up Chase, his urine sample, and the rottweiler, Karma, and we went to town. I dropped them off at their separate locations and Clay picked them up in the afternoon, after first stopping at Costco to pick up a prescription for Chase. Karma just had blood work done, which looked good, but they thought her spay incision looked inflamed and sent home meds for that. They think Chase just has a urinary tract infection, possibly resulting from his neuter, which had been more complicated due to having an undescended testicle.

So both dogs came home with meds, which Clay said they gobbled up with their dinner. That's great news, and even greater news is that both dogs' prospective adopters are still eager to adopt them.

Back home this evening, this is Karma on the floor directly behind my desk chair.

Chase on a big dog bed in the evening, hopefully no longer dripping blood.
