This is why we keep puppies with their littermates and mom for at least the first eight weeks of their life. There is no better or easier way to teach dog-on-dog social skills and appropriate play behavior, than to let them teach themselves, with some guidance from their mom.
Maya and Lexie have been close to breaking out in full court play for some time now. It happened this evening and it's the perfect illustration of why we like to keep a litter together if at all possible, for at least eight weeks.
