We had a pasture run in the middle of the afternoon and I still had time for my daily two miles at Pleasant Grove, with Della and Grover today.
I took all seven dogs to the pasture this afternoon to run. Maya came too and she didn't make any effort to jump the fence or get out. If I called her because I couldn't see her, she came running. She seemed to spend most of her time hunting along the tree line.
Today was the first time Serena has been back out to the pasture allowed to run as much as she wants. She clearly enjoyed herself; I just hope she didn't overdo it. I saw her running, but couldn't quite tell if it was an entirely normal gait for her. I guess we'll see how she's feeling tomorrow morning.
The puppy, Grover, really loved running out there. He spent a lot of time trying to climb up on Marshal or otherwise engage him in play. Grover even tried playing with Max, which makes me laugh and just annoys Max.
I never see River with his tail as tall as it is when he's out running in the pasture. He really loves it now, a big change from when he first arrived and had no clue what to do out there. He almost seemed agoraphobic in the beginning, but now he loves it out there even if he can't run as fast as the others.
Everyone was out there today, Della, Serena, Maya, Max, Marshal, River, and Grover. The only one who doesn't appear in the pictures from today's pasture run is Della. She was just off doing her own thing, hunting through the trees and tall grass. I did see her take off with Serena on one of the runs out to the front fence to see if there were neighbors to bark at. I don't think Serena was put for a serious play session with Della yet and they both seemed to know it.
