Kilo worked the crowd and impressed everyone with his calm demeanor and lovely temperament. There were hundreds of people around but he wasn't stressed or unduly excited by it. He got lots of love and quite a few treats.
After a couple hours I think he was finally getting tired and I definitely was. We came home and he got a nap before we headed over to Green Dogs later in the afternoon to sit in on a therapy dog class. That was mostly just to see how he would do and he did very well with everything thrown at him. It was mostly introducing him to new people who were using any sort of medical assistance device, from cane, to wheelchair, walker, and more. Kilo wasn't bothered by any of it and enjoyed meeting even more people.
It was a big day for Kilo but he came home and did some puppy duty in the evening as well.
An overcast, but not rainy, day is perfect for an outdoor event like this.
There was quite a good crowd there early in the morning.
Kilo found he had a lot of friends and admirers.
He was great with everyone and really enjoyed all the attention.
He would move from a sitting position to rolling over on his back.
When no one was petting him, he would just sit and wait, taking it all in.
He was calm, cool, and collected throughout the event.
Bryce is the cutest little spotted pup, absolutely adorable.
He loved Kilo too and wanted to play with him.
Kilo played with Bryce and a couple other dogs who were there with participants.
He took treats and even drank water from hands and directly from bottles.
He understood the assignment. He worked the crowd.
Bryce is bigger than our puppies at home, so Kilo played with him
and taught Bryce some good puppy behavior.
Did I mention that Bryce is adorable?
This was over at Green Dogs for the therapy dog training class.
Thanks to Clay's injury, Kilo had already seen things like crutches and walkers.
The wheelchair was new but he wasn't bothered by it.
He met even more people and was once again good with everyone.
