Ginger arrived Saturday morning and she'll be here until Monday. She's twelve years old and just as sweet as only a senior dog can be.
Cosmo arrived Friday afternoon and he's just with us until Saturday evening. He isn't happy being left, but as soon as his people are out of sight he's happy enough to be back here again. I think he knows it's just short term now since this is maybe his third return visit.
Both dogs are easy but as with any addition to the household, routines need to be adjusted, but we had things pretty well figured out by mid-afternoon.
Della and I went out for another 2.5 mile hike, same route that we did the Maya on Wednesday. Della was not really feeling it today though. She was behind me most of the time instead of being out front, and I almost felt like I was pulling her along. Occasionally something would get her attention and she would perk up, but she was not her normal enthusiastic self on the trails. Maybe she was sort from the pasture run yesterday, I was a bit sore from the bike ride, or who knows. She was just not feeling it. She seems fine otherwise but it's always surprising if she's not excited about a walk.
