Autumn glory

This was probably the most beautiful weekend of the season. The weather was perfect, the leaves are at their peak. Except for the fact that the days are short and getting shorter, this is the most beautiful time of year in Virginia. All the deciduous trees and shrubs have put on their best and brightest colors for the fall finale. The year goes out in a blaze of glory that justifies the rest that everything will be taking for the next five months or so.

I hiked five miles on Saturday with Bailey and Elvis. On Sunday I took Norman out for about 2.5 miles and then followed up with a second hike with Bailey for another 2.5 miles. Everyone had good pasture time both days as well. This is a good time of year to be a dog around here.

Norman's walk. I put a Gentle Leader on him but I didn't use it.
I just walked him on a simple slip lead.

The puppies devoured their food this evening.
I'll go to three feedings daily on Monday.

The new toy today was an empty 2 liter plastic bottle.
