Three chilly miles

I've been doing pretty good in keeping up with the daily walking, doing the two mile route at the park. It takes at least two miles for me to get warm when walking in this weather, so today we did three and I was actually pretty comfortable on the last mile. I just took Bailey because we walk faster if there's just two of us. We ventured onto a bit of the trails and they were fine for the most part. Frozen solid, of course, so they weren't muddy but they also weren't terribly icy. I slipped once but didn't fall. I really need to get Bailey to learn a verbal "slow" command for when we do encounter icy spots where I need to tread carefully. 

Only one deer spotting today and not a lot of photos because I have to remove my gloves to take pictures and I try to avoid that on days like this.

The puppies' first night and day indoors has gone pretty well. I have their pen set up so it opens by the door to the a/c yard making it easy to get them out separate from the other dogs. They got a little outdoor time today but they seemed happy to be mostly inside where it's warm. I know they would like more time with the big dogs, maybe tomorrow.
