A busy Sunday

Sunday was a busy one. At 9:00 a.m. I got Allison over to Green Dogs for a meet and greet with a prospective adopter. The meeting went well, Allison is a sweetheart and that's the most important thing they were looking for. It's not definite yet, but I feel good knowing that if they decide to adopt her it will certainly be a great home.

Around noon, Erika and company came here, and a vet came out to do another round of vaccines, worming, microchipping, and general wellness check. Two of the pups had heart murmurs but they were low grade to start with and they seem to be fading as the puppies grow, which is very good news. Everyone thought Sojo was looking good, and she got another B-12 shot today too.

Sojo has been eating kibble without any formula for the last couple of days now. I still feed her separately and I moisten her food with a bit of water, but she seems to be processing it very well now. Mid-afternoon Sojo's adopter came over to spend some time with her and the others. They were in rest mode at that point but they had snuggle time.

I got the adult dogs out to the pasture for a good run this afternoon too. Max, Della, Serena, Allison, Rufus, and Hugo all had a great time.

Allison proved to be very food motivated, which I pretty much knew.

Allison loves to be touched. Idle hands are not allowed around her.

Harriet and Susan

Three pups, one stick.

Harriet and Susan still going at it.

Malala and Eleanor

Handsome Elliot

Harriet and Susan still, with Sojo coming over to break it up.

The pups discovered that the A-frames are fun places to play today.

Ruth, momentarily still.

Tawna Purcell, D.V.M., thank you!

Kevin Proctor, R.N., thank you!

Rosa on the vettting table.

I raised the feeder again, probably for the last time for this litter.

Everyone was ready for a good nap after all the vetting and outdoor play.
Everyone is in this picture. Sojo is covered up by other pups.

Hugo and Rufus

Allison

Rufus has become more interested in disc playing because he follows Hugo
who is obsessed with it. Rufus got a disc of his own a couple times today,
I threw it for him (while Hugo was further away), and he even made a catch!

Serena

Della

This is a great picture of Allison, a classic Dane look.

Max

See the dark green circle?  This is a fairy ring, a fungi colony that grows
in a circular pattern. Several of the spent "fruiting" bodies were present here too.
This must have formed after the last rain we had.

Rufus and Max running through the fairy ring.

I love living where we have space to do this.
