Woody walks

Apparently Woody is very reactive walking on leash and that's something we need to work on. The normal routine around here doesn't address problems like that, I need to do something out of the ordinary. We took the first step today by putting a gentle leader on him and going for a walk. 

He didn't love the gentle leader, but he didn't fight it too much either. He was easily controlled but of course we didn't encounter much to test the control. We did meet a couple of people and they wanted to meet him and he handled that very well. The real test will be encountering other dogs and for that we'll need go someplace where we're certain to encounter them. I'm not sure where that will be unless I just set him up with purposeful encounters with other dogs. 

We covered the two mile route and it was good for both of us.
