Boxed and unboxed pups

The pups are eight weeks old on Saturday. I took these weights and pictures Friday evening because I had the time and figured it was close enough.

It's been getting tough to weigh the pups because they don't fit on the scale very well and they certainly don't sit still on it. I found an empty box that sat on the scale nicely and it was a good fit for the puppies, big enough to get them in but small enough that they were somewhat stilled by the confinement. 

Elliott still leads the pack at a whopping 19.1 pounds. 

Harriett, 14.96 pounds.

Harriett didn't get the memo about being still in the box 

and she's small enough that she had room to wiggle around in there.

Baby Ruth, 16.66 pounds. 

She's developing a spot on her head that's causing me to confuse her with Eleanor.

Eleanor (above and below), 15.86 pounds.

Her head spot is more pronounced, and she's a darker merle.

Amelia, 15.22 pounds, to complete the trio of merle girls.

Amelia is the darkest and has large black splotches, most apparent in the pic below.

Malala also weighed in at 15.22 pounds.

They never show up in pictures, but Malala has very faint merle markings

under her mostly fawn coat.

Susan, 15.45 pounds. 

Her very distinctive markings don't show up well here, but you can see her cute face.

In the picture below you can see the large merle spots but not the one large black one.

Dolly, 17.72 pounds. She filled the box.

Rosa, 16.50 pounds, is also call Serena Jr. because she looks very much like our Sweet Serena,

but Serena's black muzzle is now mostly grey.

Sojourner Truth (Sojo) is now 11.68 pounds. She's small but spunky.
