They are predicting a winter storm of snow and ice beginning Sunday evening and into Monday. Storm predictions are always hyped up so I never pay much attention to them, which I occasionally regret. Today was beautiful, sun all day even if it was rather breezy and cold. Bailey and I did a four mile hike Saturday morning and I should be able to get one in on Sunday morning as well.
I filled the gas tank in my van on Friday. Today I finished cleaning up the house and doing laundry necessitated by last week's rain, just in time for the next mess. I also made a big pot of soup, which served two purposes: easy meal prep in the event of a power outage, but also it made the house smell so good. Maybe tomorrow I'll make sure I've got propane for the grill and gas for the generator.
The best thing I can do to make life easier if we get snowed in is to move some dogs and as luck would have it, two moved out today. I took Fletcher back to his home this morning. He was only here for one night. Someone came out this afternoon and adopted big Gus, so that's a big hairy presence removed from the house, and it dropped our canine head count to six dogs and three puppies. I'm just thinking about all the snow and mud those big hairy paws on Gus, the Bernese Mountain Dog, would have been bringing into the house. Getting him adopted was a big help, and of course it's what he needed.

The big Bernese is wonderful, and I love the photos of him a the Aussie playing! Congrats on homing a dog. Hope you don’t get a ridiculous amount of snow (I don’t want it either)
I hope Gus and his new family have a long and happy life together.
