Three stupid miles

Wednesday was another chilly day but it was sunny so I wanted to go out for a walk. I had fallen on some ice here at home about a week ago and sort of hurt my right shoulder. It was getting better, however, and I felt I could handle two dogs so I took both Bailey and Bette. It wasn't a problem and we were having a good walk, so good that I decided to venture off the roadway onto the trails once again and get in more than two miles.

The route I chose took us through a low area where there was still a good deal of snow and ice, and I got careless (stupid) and slipped once again. I didn't hurt anything from the fall itself, but I was holding the two leashes in my "bad" arm and it sustained a pretty good jerk as I fell. I just laid there for several moments evaluating what was injured (never dropped the leashes), and eventually got back to my feet and we went on another mile. It definitely set back my shoulder recovery, however, and I am now carrying my right arm in sling as much as possible. I can rest the arm on my desk and can still type and use a mouse, so I can work more or less normally. Everything else is a bit more challenging right now.

The first pictures below are from the stupid hike, Bailey and Bette, the others are from pasture romps Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. I don't think I'll be hiking again for a few days at least.
