Happy Equinox (and Smokey meets Maya)

We had another beautiful day for the vernal equinox, the first day of spring.
It's been great walking weather. Here are some pictures of Maya and Serena out on the trails, and Maya and Smokey.

Smokey is making progress, but he still reverts to snarling and snapping when he gets over excited, frustrated, or just doesn't know what to do.

I am really enjoying walking the two girls together. They enjoy it too and it's really hard to leave
one of them at home if I want to take someone else. It's easier to leave Serena at home than Maya,
however. Maya still hasn't entirely forgiven me for being away for so long.

Serena has filled out beautifully. Her ribs and hip bones no longer protrude. I'm curious to
see what her weight is now but I think it's about perfect.

Maya set Smokey straight when they first met
and there have been no problems between them.
Here is Smokey doing the submissive puppy thing,
licking Maya's face.

Smokey still bears the scar of the first
"teachable moment" he had with Theo.
Maya waded into Sparky's Watering Hole and was surprised
by the depth. The water is clear and cool right now.

Smokey had a good walk with Maya. She wasn't so thrilled
about him coming along, but she didn't want to stay at home.

Smokey has filled out nicely now too. No longer skinny.
