Dolly's beer

Dolly went to her new home this morning. The young woman who adopted Dolly is one of the brewers at Skipping Rock Beer Company, which makes an excellent Baltic porter. The adopters brought me a four pack of said beer when they came this morning, so in my mind it will always be Dolly's beer. I had two of them today and enjoyed them very much but didn't do much else in the course of the day.

Allison is recovering well from her spay surgery the other day. She's not happy with me because I won't let her out to run, but it's too soon. Arby may have been the smallest dog around here, but he had his own routine that we catered to and his absence is being felt.

The three pups who have gone home all seem to be doing well. I have shamelessly stolen pictures posted by their adopters and am sharing them here. Two more puppies go home on Saturday.

Harriet (Lainey-Boe) has a big brother who has assumed the role of guardian and teacher.
He has no idea that she's going to grow bigger than him.

Rosa (Aida) isn't prepared to give up the puppy pile.

Dolly isn't sure about the cat, but she also wants to preserve the pile.

Go forth and conquer,

for the world is small and you are the giant,

and every step you take will make the ground shake

as it rises to meet you.
