Just as I was leaving Pleasant Grove with Bailey, this male German Shepherd wandered up to us. He looked tired, as if he had been running, and seemed to be looking for his person. He wouldn't take treats from me but he did let me leash him and he seemed friendly enough. He had an orange collar but no tags. I was going to bring him home and take him to the SPCA tomorrow morning but he refused to get into the van. We hung out for a while, I was hoping that someone would appear who was looking for him. I tried again to get him into the van but finally gave up. When I removed the leash he trotted off. I drove around the park and stopped to talk to the only two people still there, but they were not his owner. I posted his picture on the Fluvanna Lost and Found Pets page on Facebook, hoping his owner would see him and at least know where he was at that time. I can only hope that he made it home.
