Foster swap

I traded the puppy Storm for an adult foster, Ted. We're hoping that both dogs will benefit. I know Storm will benefit from the training and new experiences she will receive from Erika. Ted is a bit of a hard case.

I don't know the whole story, something about having lived in a prison cell for 6.5 years as some part of a prison program, but he came out a bit worse for wear. He screams and spins and bites his back leg when he gets excited, sort of like our Max used to do. Apparently this behavior has abated a lot since being with Erika but it's not entirely resolved. He's very friendly and was more than willing to hop into the crate in my van to come home with me today. I put him out in Daneland along with SweetTart and Woody for the afternoon. When I got back from my walk with Bailey I put her out with him and moved Woody back to the dog yard with the now solo puppy, Elektra. Ted has been fine with all the dogs.

I brought him indoors this evening and up to a crate in my office. He did his spinning for a little bit but he stopped spinning as soon as SweetTart stopped barking at him. We are hoping that more exercise and outdoor time with other dogs will help Ted normalize.

SweetTart met cats and wanted nothing to do with them.

You might want to try some CBD calming treats for Ted. They did wonders for some of my former fosters.
