Big Dogs

Crate sharing is really Della's idea but Serena tolerates it.
I know a lot of folks have started following this blog since we took in Della and the puppies, but we have other dogs as well. They've been really very tolerant and understanding about all the time and attention that has been devoted to Della and the pups. I expect they understand, on some level, and probably pick up on the sense of urgency that we've been giving off.
Max loves the pasture runs. He's the one who will really
follow me around on the mower.

Although they haven't been making appearances on the blog, we still try to give the others what they want and need. Since it's been hot, even Maya isn't all that insistent on going hiking. Trooper really can't handle the heat at his age. Max and Theo keep themselves entertained pretty well and we still get them out to the pasture to run. And of course we have one other foster, Zeus.

Here's some pics of the adult dogs of the household, and a few of the puppies too, just to ward off withdrawal symptoms.

I gave Max a bath recently. He really cleans up well.

Della likes pasture time too, but she spends most
of it hunting rabbits.
Theo's main interest is still playing ball.

Della's ears turn inside out when she runs.

I've got to get Serena a decent ball to play with.
She's been carrying and tossing around the
remnants of a soccer ball for a month. This
basketball isn't much better.

Here's a few pictures of Max under some pretty sky.

I took Zeus out on a walk today, with Maya
Zeus walks nicely on a leash.

Maya was happy to go walk again today,
but it was hot and we only went two miles.

Della and Maya, both in bed. Maya is ok with it because
she's closest to me. Della is ok because she's there.
