Eat, Sleep, Grow

Sometimes one of them just sits at looks at you,
much like we sit and look at them.
Nothing special today, just another day of puppyhood. They eat, sleep, and grow, with some play and poop randomly mixed in, along with some snuggle time. I cleaned the floor, changed bedding, did laundry, changed pads and papers several times throughout the day. I washed out water bowls and filled the bucket, added a ramp to the puppy ninja course, and strung little fairy lights in the trees, which we enjoyed as it got dark. We gave the pups their second dose of Panacure this evening.

Puppy on a mission, with the tail in a wide wag.
Nothing special, just another day with the 12 pack of Danes. I know these days are numbered, but you can't dwell on the dwindling number, these days are to be savored.

My initial placement of the new ramp was too high. The
pups were fearless and scrambled right up, but they had no
where to go and it was too far off the ground.

Modelo sitting on the end of the diving board
contemplating a dive into the ball pit. But a lot
of those balls are still floating in rainwater,
and the puppies aren't crazy about that.

The door opening scene never fails to entertain and amuse me.

Della can now spend time with the puppies
without being mobbed by them seeking milk.
(Sometimes they still try, but I think she's
pretty much dry at this point.)

This is where the ramp ended up, at least for now.
It's a much safer height.

Like anything new, the ramp got a lot of immediate attention.

The lights in the trees are pretty once it gets dark, but we all
go in about that time too. The pups had a long evening outdoors
and they immediately sacked out in their bed tonight.

I almost forgot to include this! Last Friday we recorded a spot for the Hallmark Channel's morning program. It aired today and someone was kind enough to send the clip.

You have given them so much! What a great start & a gift to these wonderful puppies. I am dying for puppy kisses just watching them. The lights are a great touch :) Thank you for sharing their progress.

You have done an amazing job on their enclosure. The addition of the lights is really nice! They are lucky puppies!
