Pleasant puppy play day

The last couple of days have been pretty pleasant. The ground is still frozen and some snow and ice remains, but the air temperature has gotten up to about 40, the sun has been out and the wind is down.

The puppies are sort of outgrowing their kennel. They have plenty of space, but they need more stimulation and more exercise. So today they spent the afternoon in the big dog yard.

That area is fenced for big dogs, but the fence is by no means puppy proof. But the area is big enough and it was new enough to them, that they had plenty to explore inside and they made no attempt to get out.

I came out every 20-30 minutes or so to do a nose count and to just enjoy the play. I think it's safe to say that a good time was had by all. I put them back into the kennel before dark, and I think they are still sleeping it off.
