Not a great pic, but it shows the whole group.
Trooper (front), looking at me.
Ryland, (butt to camera), that's pretty much his attitude.
Trace (rear), with his red ball as always.
Hobby chasing Mercedes, just because. |
Friday afternoon was a cold and windy day. There is nothing like a brisk wind to stir up the stupid in a bunch of dogs. Horses are the same way. My unproven theory on this is that the wind stirs up smells and whirls them around such that the noses are being bombarded with many stimuli from many directions all at once. It's sensory overload for the olfactory sense that dogs (and horses) rely on to a much greater extent than man.
Anyway, a windy day gets everyone excited around here, so I went to the dog yard with a camera to capture a group of shepherds at play.

Mercedes, playing with a food dish
because all the balls were taken. |

Merecedes (front), Trooper (rear), Hobby (right), and Ryland (butt shot). |

Hobby with blue ball, Trace with his red ball
Trace will only play with the red ball, don't ask me why. |

Three noses, one brain.
Left to Right, Mercedes, Trooper, Hobby
Yes, I know my dogs by their butts. |
