Help Benny find a home

This dog is with a friend of mine, a former adopter, who took him in from a family that was undergoing a medical crisis.  The dog might well have ended up here if she hadn't taken him in, so I'm happy to try to help her find a home for him.  Benny is a three year old, bi-color German Shepherd, house trained, kid- and cat-friendly.  He sounds like a great dog, very well socialized.  He was not being re-homed through any fault of his own.  Here's what she has to say about him:

This handsome shepherd, Benny, is looking for a family. He is 3 years old, neutered, UTD on vaccines and the trifecta--good with cats, dogs and kids. He is house-trained, crate-trained and excellent in the car. He knows how to sit, lie down, shake and stay. He attends doggie daycare and gets along with his fellow doggie campers. He isn't even scared of thunderstorms. What more could you want in a dog?
His ideal home will be active and familiar with working dog breeds. Benny is not mellow, but he does settle down in the house after a good romp outside.

Feel free to share Benny with anyone you think might be interested in him.  He's located near Charlottesville, but he can get around.  If you are interested in him, email Meg at:  moj125@msn.com.

He looks like a real love bug! Love that pic of him and the cat. I hope he finds his new home soon!
