Vaccination Day

This should be a recognized holiday and major event in every puppy's life. The pups all got their first parvo/distemper vaccine today. It's a new product specifically made for early vaccination, just for parvo and distemper. I've been anxiously awaiting this day and I'll breathe a little easier each day going forward.
Julie held the pups while Erika vaccinated.
They have plenty of extra skin and not one
of them cried.

Erika came with a support staff (Julie and Mary) and they did the puppies here at home. Clay did the daily weigh-in at the same time. Carlsberg passed the 12 pound mark today! I'm trying to decide when to do the move to Puppy Palace. I built them a bed box and a pooping box today. Inside is ready anytime, outside could be ready in a day. I'm thinking we'll do it this weekend when I won't have to work and can hang out with them, but the poop situation is getting overwhelming indoors, so it may happen sooner.
Julie passed off the vaccinated pups to Mary
who gave consolation snuggles and kisses
before passing off to Clay for the weigh-in.

It was a good system. I just sat and watched.

No one cried and everyone got lots of handling time before
going back to play and sleep.

I rearranged the quadrants today, making the former bed
area into the bathroom (upper left), which gave a bigger play
space (upper right), and a feeding area in front.

It's not hard to get pictures of people smiling
when they are holding puppies.
This poor woman just couldn't seem to find any puppies
who liked her.
