Summer nights

Summer Solstice sort of snuck up on me this year. I was occupied with other things and didn't have the opportunity to give it the recognition it deserves. It certainly feels like summer now and the only time it's decent to be outside is the first hour in the morning and the last hour of daylight in the evening.

Serena and Max. Max is chewing up his ball.

Serena and Della

Max has generally spent his days in the dog yard, formerly with Theo, and then he
comes inside at night. Without Theo around now he's by himself more so I'm bringing
him back inside during the day. He's not young anymore and it's too damn hot out there.
He's always ready to go back out in the evenings, however. That's where his sticks and balls are.

We had a bit of excitement this evening when we scared up a rabbit. Della spotted him and took off
but it ran from one thick bushy area to another nearby and managed to get away from her.
She enjoyed the chase even if it was short.

Serena's fawn coat really stands out against the green grass and blue/grey evening sky.
