Isla is adorable

Our newest Green Dogs foster is a 10-12 month old deaf boxer named Isla, pronounced "eye-la." She is just as sweet and adorable as she can be. 

Let's face it, boxers have funny faces. But they fall into the "so ugly that they are cute" category and Isla is definitely a cutie. The black edging on her jowls and lower lip make her look funnier than most, but she is absolutely sincere and although she is not trying to make you laugh, she just does. 

We've only had her a couple of nights so far. She fusses for a couple minutes when you put her in a crate and leave her, but then she lays down and goes to sleep until morning. Because she's deaf, she sleeps soundly and solidly. She's inclined to stand up on her hind legs as boxers do, but she's just wanting to give hugs. 

What Isla really likes is to snuggle. She climbed up into the recliner with Clay a couple times today. 

Her wiggly butt and her smiling funny face will make you smile, and who doesn't need that?
