Horseplay

Maya can hold her own when playing rough
with Patton in spite of the size difference.
Their favorite place to play is indoors,
preferably under my feet.
I thought we had big dogs until Patton came along.  He makes everyone else around here seem small.  It's ironic then that our little girl, Maya, is his most active playmate.  They are about the same age but the similarity ends there.  He must be at least three times her size, but she must be at least three dogs in one, so they are actually very evenly matched.  It's rough and tumble but very friendly play, the only danger is to innocent by-standers.

Gigi curls up into a nice tight ball when she lays
on the bed.  Patton sprawls.  He does NOT have
bed privileges, and that is not going to change.
Gigi had been laying on the big dog
bed in my office.  Patton plopped
himself down and then she wanted
me to make him move.  I did so.

Maya and Patton in the dog yard this evening.
When Patton runs into you it feels like being tackled.
They nearly took me down this evening.

Between his size and his color, he is easy to spot in the pasture even after dark.
