Back in Black (and White)

Our farm dog is back, on the job, all duties resumed, without the cone. The incision is nicely healed up, all stitches out, and with her mottled coat, it hardly shows.

At Decipher brewery Monday evening, to drink a toast to Theo and to
celebrate Della's liberation from the cone.

We were about the only people there and no other dogs, so Della was good.
She's ok if other dogs are present, but she will let out an enormous bark to make
sure they all know that she is present and in charge.

Back at home, in her element.

Like many others, we lost power in the storm on Wednesday so we sat out on the front porch.

We went to bed early that night but we were lucky that our power came back before midnight.

This is how a Great Dane sits on steps.

Serena is happy to have Della cone-free once again and available for play.

The cone made crate sharing impractical. Della is glad to be
snuggling up to Serena again.
